Some friendships are built slowly and deliberately. Ours just happened, quietly, and somewhere along the way it became one of the best things I never planned.

You have been a constant. You listen properly, you understand without needing everything explained, and you show up, even in seasons when I did not know how to ask. That is rare, and I notice it far more than I say.

So today the wishes are simple: I hope this year is kind to you. I hope things fall into place for you, quietly and completely. I hope joy finds you in the big moments and in the small ordinary ones in between.

Thank you for being you, and for being mine, at least until Mr. Right finally shows up to snatch you away. When he does, tell him I come with the package. He should budget for two.
